Agent Orange is an American punk rock band formed in Placentia, California, in 1979 by guitarist and vocalist Mike Palm, bassist Steve Soto, and drummer Scott Miller. The band gained initial attention with their self-released 1980 single 'Bloodstains,' which appeared on the compilation Rodney on the ROQ via DJ Rodney Bingenheimer. They blended punk rock's speed with surf music guitar riffs, contributing to the surf punk and skate punk genres. Their debut album Living in Darkness (1981) and follow-up This Is the Voice (1986) established key tracks like 'Everything Turns Grey.' Subsequent releases include Virtually Indestructible (1996) and the compilation Greatest & Latest (2000). Lineup changes occurred over time, with Palm as the sole constant member; as of recent years, Perry Giordano on bass and Sandy Hanson on drums. The band maintains an active presence through live performances, known for high-energy shows rooted in their punk and surf influences.
