Bane is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1995 in Worcester, Massachusetts, initially as a side project by guitarist Aaron Dalbec (of Converge) and drummer Damon Bellorado, with vocalist Aaron Bedard joining shortly after. The band released early works including the 1997 EP Free to Think, Free to Be and the 1998 compilation Holding This Moment, followed by debut album It All Comes Down to This in 1999 and Give Blood in 2001 on Equal Vision Records. Bane's music features emotionally charged lyrics promoting unity and tolerance in the hardcore scene, delivered through high-energy performances. Later albums include The Note (2005) and Don't Wait Up (2014), after which the band split in 2016 following extensive touring and festival appearances worldwide. They maintained a consistent lineup with Bedard on vocals, Dalbec and Zach Jordan on guitars, James Siboni on bass, and Bob Mahoney on drums.
