Bilmuri is the solo project of Johnny Franck, born June 8, 1990, in Columbus, Ohio, and originating from Westerville, Ohio. Franck, former clean vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the metalcore band Attack Attack!, left the group in 2010 and launched Bilmuri in 2016. He previously fronted The March Ahead starting in 2011. The project blends post-hardcore, neon pop-punk, indie-pop, lo-fi, metal, and country elements, drawing influences from artists like The 1975 and Enter Shikari. Bilmuri's debut album, Jaguar Shark, arrived in January 2016, followed by a self-titled release in July that year, and subsequent albums including Frame and Banana (2017), and Taco (2018). Franck has released fourteen albums since 2016 and collaborated with Dance Gavin Dance on Afterburner (2020) and others. Live, Bilmuri performs with a full band, selling out shows and appearing at festivals like Bonnaroo 2025.
