Black Veil Brides is an American rock band formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by vocalist Andy Biersack, initially with members including Johnny Herold, Phil Cenedella, Chris Riesenberg, and Nate Shipp. The current lineup features Biersack, guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, drummer Christian 'CC' Coma, and bassist Lonny Eagleton. Now based in Hollywood, California, the band blends post-hardcore, glam metal, and rock elements, drawing visual inspiration from 1980s acts like Kiss and Mötley Crüe through black makeup, body paint, studded clothing, and long hair. Their debut album, We Stitch These Wounds (2010, StandBy Records), reached No. 36 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Independent chart. Follow-up Set the World on Fire (2011, Lava Records) debuted at No. 17, featuring singles 'Fallen Angels' (gold-certified) and 'Rebel Love Song.' Subsequent releases include Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones (2013), a concept album with an accompanying film, Black Veil Brides (2014), and Vale (2018). The band is recognized for theatrical live performances that emphasize their glam-influenced stage persona.
