Blink-182 formed in Poway, California, in 1992 with Mark Hoppus on bass and vocals, Tom DeLonge on guitar and vocals, and Scott Raynor on drums. Emerging from the Southern California punk scene, the band gained notice for high-energy live shows and lyrics featuring irreverent humor. Raynor left in 1998 and was replaced by Travis Barker, solidifying the core lineup that recorded key albums. The band's style blends punk rock with pop elements. Notable releases include Enema of the State (1999), which featured hits like 'All the Small Things,' and later albums such as the untitled Blink-182 (2003), California (2016) with Matt Skiba, and One More Time... (2023) after DeLonge's return in 2022. Lineup changes occurred with DeLonge departing in 2005 and 2015, and Skiba from 2015 to 2022. Blink-182 remains known for its energetic live performances combining punk speed with humor.
