Blue October is an American rock band formed in Houston, Texas, in 1995 by singer/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, his brother drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld, and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye. Guitarist CB Hudson and bassist Matt Noveskey joined shortly after. The band released an independent album in 1997, signed with Universal Records in 1999, and issued their major-label debut Consent to Treatment in 2000 before being dropped in 2002. The current lineup includes Justin Furstenfeld, Jeremy Furstenfeld, Ryan Delahoussaye, Matt Noveskey, and lead guitarist Will Knaak. Blue October has released eight studio albums, achieving six consecutive Top 30 debuts on the Billboard 200 and three number-one albums on the Top Alternative Albums chart: Any Man in America (2011), Sway (2013), and Home (2016). They have charted 17 Top 40 singles on alternative rock radio. The band blends post-grunge and modern rock with violin and emotional lyrics.
