Bone Thugs-n-Harmony formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1991, originally as Band Aid Boys and later B.O.N.E. Enterpri$e. The core members, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone, recorded their debut album Faces of Death independently in 1993. After traveling to Los Angeles and auditioning for Eazy-E backstage in Cleveland, they signed with Ruthless Records and released the EP Creepin on ah Come Up in 1994. The group developed a style blending fast-paced, melodic rapping with harmonized vocals, known as the 'Cleveland Sound.' Their 1995 album E. 1999 Eternal included hits like 'Tha Crossroads,' earning a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1997. Subsequent releases include BTNHResurrection (2000), Thug World Order (2002), and Thug Stories (2006). Bone Thugs-n-Harmony performances feature their signature rapid, layered flows and vocal harmonies, drawing from influences like East and West Coast rap.
