Brandi Carlile - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

Brandi Carlile, born June 1, 1981, grew up in a rural area outside Seattle influenced by country music. At age 17, she taught herself guitar, busked in Seattle, and met twin brothers Tim and Phil Hanseroth after their band Fighting Machinists disbanded. The trio first performed together in 2000, blending country, rock, and folk in their sound, and signed with Columbia Records in 2004. Their self-titled debut album followed in 2005, featuring songs mostly written or co-written by Carlile. The 2007 album The Story included the gold-certified title track and propelled extensive touring with the Hanseroth brothers as her core band. Notable releases include Bear Creek (2012), which reached number 10 on the Billboard 200, and Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony (2011). Carlile has won multiple Grammy Awards, including for 'The Joke,' 'Bring My Flowers Now,' and 'Broken Horses.' In 2019, she co-founded the Highwomen, whose debut won a Grammy for Best Country Song 'Crowded Table.' Known for dynamic live performances, Carlile and her band honed their material through years of headlining tours and opening for artists like Dave Matthews and Tori Amos.
