Brit Floyd is a UK-based Pink Floyd tribute band formed in 2010, originating from a split with The Australian Pink Floyd Show. Founded by musical director Damian Darlington, who had performed with the Australian group for 17 years, the band is based in Liverpool, England, and first performed around 2011. Its core members include Darlington on guitar, lap steel, and vocals, along with Ian Cattell on bass and vocals, and rotating musicians on keyboards, drums, saxophone, and backing vocals. The band's musical style replicates Pink Floyd's progressive rock sound, drawing primarily from 1970s albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall, as well as The Division Bell tour elements. Brit Floyd has no original albums but has performed over 1,500 shows worldwide at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. They have featured guest musicians from Pink Floyd's lineups, such as bassist Guy Pratt. Brit Floyd is known for live performances with elaborate light shows, projections, inflatables, and laser effects modeled after Pink Floyd's 1994 Pulse tour.
