BTS is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 by Big Hit Entertainment and debuting in 2013 with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. The seven members, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, were assembled from trainees selected for rapping, singing, and dancing skills. Originally envisioned as a hip-hop group, it shifted to address youth issues through lyrics on self-love, individuality, and social concerns. The band's style blends K-pop with hip-hop and pop elements. Key releases include EPs O!RUL8,2? (2013) and Skool Luv Affair (2014), full-length Dark & Wild (2014), and Wings (2016), their first to sell one million copies in South Korea. Popularity grew with The Most Beautiful Moment in Life series (2015), leading to their first world tour. BTS is known for live performances featuring synchronized choreography, rap verses, and fan interactions during concerts and world tours.
