Burna Boy, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, debuted in 2012 with the single 'Like to Party' from his 2013 album LIFE. Influenced by his grandfather's management of Fela Kuti, he developed afro-fusion, blending Afrobeat, dancehall, reggae, rap, and R&B. He founded Spaceship Entertainment in 2015 after leaving Aristokrat Records. Key releases include the 2018 album Outside, featuring 'Ye,' and Love, Damini (2022), with a Grammy win for Best Global Music Album. His eighth album, No Sign of Weakness (2025), includes collaborations with Mick Jagger, Stromae, and Travis Scott. Burna Boy's live performances feature magnetic stage presence, powerful beats, and audience engagement through afro-fusion rhythms.
