Camerata Pacifica - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

Camerata Pacifica is a chamber music ensemble founded in 1990 by flutist Adrian Spence in Santa Barbara, California. Originally named Bach Camerata, the group changed its name in 1994 to reflect its broader artistic scope. The ensemble performs a repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary works, with performances held across Southern California venues including Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Marino, and Los Angeles. The group is composed of international musicians selected for both artistic excellence and commitment to ensemble community. Camerata Pacifica distinguishes itself through an intensive rehearsal model, with musicians participating in 30-40 hour residencies before performing each program across multiple cities. The ensemble has commissioned 16 new works from composers including John Harbison, Jake Heggie, and Bright Sheng. The Los Angeles Times described Camerata Pacifica as "the best chamber music reason to get out of the house."
