Sheldon Jerome Young, known professionally as Channel Tres, was born on May 26, 1991, in Compton, California. He emerged in 2018 as a rapper, singer, DJ, and producer, blending West Coast hip-hop with house music, techno, funk, and disco to create a genreless style he describes as 'gumbo.' Tres gained recognition with singles 'Controller' and 'Topdown,' followed by EPs including Black Moses and a debut album, Head Rush, released in 2024. He has collaborated with artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Disclosure, Mura Masa, and JPEGMAFIA, and produced for Duckwrth, Wale, and Kehlani. In 2024, he signed with ALTA Music Group. Channel Tres is known for dynamic live performances, having toured worldwide and sold out arenas since 2018.
