Charles Wesley Godwin is a country singer-songwriter from Morgantown, West Virginia, born in 1993. His music blends country, folk, and Appalachian Americana, with writing shaped by West Virginia imagery, working-class detail, and a baritone vocal style. He released his debut album, Seneca, in 2019, followed by How the Mighty Fall and Family Ties; songs such as "Seneca Creek" and "Hardwood Floors" helped bring him wider attention. He is also known for live performances that combine full-band electric arrangements with more stripped-down acoustic songs, a contrast noted in coverage of his touring and album work.
