Cradle of Filth is an English extreme metal band formed in Suffolk in 1991. Founded by vocalist Dani Filth (Daniel Lloyd Davey) along with Darren White, Jon Richard, Paul Ryan, and Daniel Lloyd Davey, the group initially drew from black metal and death/thrash metal traditions before evolving into a style incorporating gothic metal and other extreme subgenres. Dani Filth remains the sole original member and the band's continuous frontman throughout their career. The band is known for their theatrical live performances, which feature elaborate costumes, dramatic stage lighting, and a narrative-driven approach to their music. Their catalog includes notable albums such as "Dusk... and Her Embrace" and "Cruelty and the Beast," which helped define their signature blend of symphonic elements, shrieking vocals, and dark, literary-inspired themes. Current touring members include drummer Martin Skaroupka, guitarists Donny Burbage and Jirí Háb, bassist Daniel Firth, and keyboardist Kelsey Peters.
