Dance With The Dead is an American music duo formed in 2012-2013 in Irvine, California, by Justin Pointer and Tony Kim, both former members of metal bands. Their music blends synthwave, electronic, and metal elements, drawing from 1980s horror films, John Carpenter soundtracks, and influences like Daft Punk and Metallica. The duo debuted with the album Out of Body in 2013, followed by releases including Near Dark (2014), Shape (2016), Loved to Death (2018), Driven to Madness (2022, featuring John Carpenter and Cody Carpenter), and Out of Body (Remastered) (2023). They contributed to the soundtrack of the documentary The Rise of the Synths. In 2019, they added drummer John Terry for live performances. Known for high-energy live shows since their 2015 debut, they have headlined European tours and supported acts like Avatar, Dragonforce, and Beast in Black.
