Eli (born Eli Guttman on October 12, 2000) is an American singer-songwriter from Norfolk, Massachusetts. She gained initial recognition on TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic with voice-driven pop ballads recorded in her childhood bedroom. Her music blends pop with alternative and indie influences, drawing from artists such as Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, and Phoebe Bridgers. In 2025, Eli released singles including 'Marianne,' which received critical praise, followed by viral tracks 'Girl of Your Dreams,' 'Fortunately 4 U,' 'God Bless the BFA,' and 'Like a Girl.' Her debut album, Stage Girl, arrived on October 31, 2025, exploring themes of fame, reinvention, self-discovery, and queer identity through nostalgic pop referencing reality TV and early 2000s aesthetics. She has earned co-signs from artists like Doechii and Lizzy McAlpine. Eli performs with high-energy shows that channel her 'stage girl' persona, as seen in New York appearances, emphasizing vocal agility and theatrical presence.
