Emo Night Brooklyn - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

Emo Night Brooklyn is a DJ-driven event series founded in early 2015 by childhood friends Alex Badanes and Ethan Maccoby. The two met in Surrey, England, bonded over emo and pop-punk music, and continued hosting parties through college in Boston before relocating to Brooklyn, New York. Their first public event occurred at the Cameo bar in Williamsburg, drawing over 1,000 attendees for a 100-capacity space, leading to regular nights at Brooklyn Bowl starting that year. The events focus on emo and pop-punk anthems from bands like My Chemical Romance, Paramore, New Found Glory, and Saves the Day, often featuring guest DJs such as Ryan Key of Yellowcard. Emo Night Brooklyn expanded nationally and internationally, including a UK launch in 2017, while maintaining the same booking agent as those bands. They now hire additional DJs to meet demand across multiple cities. Live shows are known for high-energy atmospheres with moshing, crowd surfing, and communal sing-alongs, recreating the intensity of rock concerts through nostalgic playlists.
