Faetooth is a three-piece doom metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2019. The current lineup consists of Ari May on guitar and vocals, Jenna Garcia on bass and vocals, and Rah Kanan on drums; founding guitarist Ashla Chavez-Razzano departed in 2022. The band draws from doom metal, black metal, shoegaze, and sludge to create their self-described 'fairy doom' sound, exploring themes of folklore and spirituality. Faetooth independently released a debut EP in 2019, followed by their full-length album Remnants of the Vessel in 2022, which received recognition from Spin Magazine as a co-best metal album of the year. Their second album, Labyrinthine, came out in September 2024 on The Flenser label. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed their live debut until 2022, after which they performed about thirty West Coast shows through 2024 and nearly sixty in 2025, including European festivals and U.S. tours.
