Five Finger Death Punch is an American heavy metal band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2005 by vocalist Ivan Moody, rhythm guitarist Zoltan Bathory, lead guitarist Caleb Bingham, bassist Matt Snell, and drummer Jeremy Spencer. Lineup changes followed: Bingham left in 2006, replaced by Darrell Roberts and then Jason Hook in 2009; Snell departed in 2010, succeeded by Chris Kael in 2011; Spencer exited in 2018 due to health issues, with Charlie Engen taking over; Hook left in 2020, replaced by Andy James. Bathory and Moody remain from the original lineup. The band's debut album, The Way of the Fist (2007), reached gold status. War Is the Answer (2009) and American Capitalist (2011) both achieved Platinum certification by the RIAA. They have released eight studio albums total, including Got Your Six (2015) and F8 (2020). Their music blends groove metal and heavy metal elements with themes of personal struggle. Five Finger Death Punch maintains a rigorous touring schedule, performing over 200 shows annually in their early years and becoming regulars at major U.S. and European festivals.
