Foo Fighters - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

Foo Fighters formed in 1994 in Seattle as a one-man project by Dave Grohl, former drummer of Nirvana. Grohl recorded the self-titled debut album alone, playing most instruments, and assembled a live band featuring bassist Nate Mendel, drummer William Goldsmith, and guitarist Pat Smear for their first performance in 1995. The band transitioned to a full group with the 1997 release of The Colour and the Shape, after Goldsmith left and Taylor Hawkins joined on drums. Their music blends rock with alternative and punk influences. Notable albums include There Is Nothing Left to Lose (1999), featuring the Billboard Hot 100 single "Learn to Fly"; Wasting Light (2011); Sonic Highways (2014); and Concrete and Gold (2017). They have received multiple Grammy Awards for albums and songs. Foo Fighters are known for extended live performances with high energy, often incorporating three-guitar lineups after Pat Smear's return in 2005.
