From Ashes to New is an American nu metal band formed in August 2013 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, by vocalist and guitarist Matt Brandyberry, alongside former members of local bands including Chris Musser on rap vocals. Initially a recording project, the band gained traction through social media and SiriusXM Octane airplay of early singles like 'My Fight' and 'Live Again' from their debut EP. The lineup has evolved, with current members including Danny Case, Lance Dowdle, and Mat Madiro. Their music blends rap, metal, rock, and alternative elements, as heard on albums such as Day One (2016), which reached number two on the US Hard Rock Albums chart, The Future (2018), Panic (2020), and Blackout (2023). They signed with Better Noise Records and released the single 'Through It All.' The band is known for high-energy live performances supporting their themes of personal struggle and redemption.
