Gavin David Adcock, born October 9, 1998, in Athens, Georgia, and raised on his family's cattle farm in Watkinsville, began writing songs in high school. A knee injury during spring football in 2021 ended his time as a Georgia Southern University player and prompted him to release his debut single 'Ain't No Cure.' He signed with Warner Music Nashville and gained recognition with the platinum-certified 'A Cigarette,' which exceeded 150 million streams. Adcock's music blends rural country with grunge-rock elements. His 2024 debut album Actin' Up Again marked the largest major-label country debut by a solo male artist that year. In 2025, Own Worst Enemy debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 Country chart and No. 14 all-genre, with over 25 million first-week U.S. streams. He earned nominations for New Male Artist of the Year at the 60th ACM Awards and Discovery Artist of the Year at the MusicRow Awards. Adcock has headlined tours including the Actin' Up Again (Again) Tour and Need To Tour, performing at sold-out venues and festivals.
