Glixen is a shoegaze band formed in 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona, by vocalist/guitarist Aislinn Ritchie, along with guitarist Esteban Santana, drummer Keire Johnson, and bassist Sonia Garcia. Emerging from the local DIY scene, the band blends heavy guitar textures, ethereal vocals, and influences from acts like My Bloody Valentine, Björk, and Hum to create dense, introspective soundscapes. Glixen released their debut EP, She Only Said, through Julia’s War Records in 2023, followed by the sophomore EP quiet pleasures in 2024, produced by Sonny DiPerri and mastered by Dave Cooley. They have toured extensively across the United States, sharing stages with bands including Interpol, DIIV, Narrow Head, and Nothing. The group debuted with a sold-out show in fall 2021.
