Goldfinger is an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1994 by John Feldmann on vocals and guitar, Simon Williams on bass, Darrin Pfeiffer on drums, and Charlie Paulson on guitar. The band emerged during the third-wave ska revival, blending ska and punk elements in their early releases, including the self-titled debut album (1996), Hang-Ups (1997), and Stomping Ground (2000). Their debut was recognized by Alternative Press as one of the '10 Albums That Shaped 1996,' and tracks like 'Here in Your Bedroom' and 'Superman' (featured in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater) gained recognition. Later albums such as Open Your Eyes (2002) and Disconnection Notice (2005) shifted toward pop-punk, reducing ska influences. Founding members departed over time, with Feldmann remaining the constant; The Knife (2017) featured Mike Herrera, Travis Barker, and Philip Sneed. Goldfinger maintains a dedicated fanbase through energetic live performances rooted in their punk origins.
