Grupo Frontera formed in early 2022 in Edinburg, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, by six musicians with roots in Tamaulipas and Nuevo León, Mexico. The lineup includes Adelaido Solís III on lead vocals and bajo quinto, Juan Javier Cantú on accordion and vocals, Julián Peña Jr. on percussion, Alberto Acosta on guitar, Carlos Zamora on bass, and Carlos Guerrero on drums. They blend norteño and cumbia styles with pop and modern elements, drawing from regional Mexican traditions. Their breakthrough came with a TikTok cover of Morat's 'No Se Va' in 2022, which charted on the Billboard Hot 100, followed by hits like 'Que Vuelvas' with Carín León and 'Bebé Dame' with Fuerza Regida. The debut album El Comienzo features 'un x100to' with Bad Bunny and collaborations with Grupo Firme, Junior H, and Yahritza y Su Esencia. They have toured arenas worldwide, including the Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada tour ending at Bert Ogden Arena.
