Hayley Williams, born December 27, 1988, in Meridian, Mississippi, and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, formed the rock band Paramore in 2004 at age 14. Discovered while writing pop songs in Nashville, she signed with Atlantic Records but insisted on performing in a band playing pop punk and rock styles. Paramore gained recognition with albums such as Riot! (2007) and Brand New Eyes (2009), earning multiple Grammy nominations and a win for Best Rock Song in 2010 for 'Ain't It Fun.' Williams released her debut solo EP Petals for Armor I and Petals for Armor II in 2020, followed by the full-length Petals for Armor and Flowers for Vases / Descansos in 2021. Her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, appeared in 2025 under her independent label Post Atlantic. These works explore introspective themes across alternative rock and pop influences. Paramore performances feature Williams' dynamic stage presence, marked by high-energy vocals and audience engagement during live tours.
