Humberto Rodríguez Terrazas, known professionally as Humbe, was born on November 11, 2000, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. He began playing piano at age nine, later learning guitar, ukulele, and drums, influenced by rock bands like Aerosmith and Journey, as well as Mexican pop acts such as Reik. In 2017, he self-released his debut album Sonámbulo, followed by the EP Soy Humbe in 2020. Humbe gained wider recognition with his 2021 albums Entropía and Aurora, after signing with Sony Music Mexico, earning a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Hits like “Dieznoches,” “El Poeta,” “Fantasmas,” and “Te Lo Prometo” boosted his profile, particularly via TikTok. He parted ways with Sony in 2024, releasing singles “Kintsugi” and “Malbec” with Reik, and later the album Dueño del Cielo, completing a trilogy. Humbe is known for live performances featuring full orchestras and mariachi bands, as seen in his 2024 Esencia Tour across Mexico and South America.
