He left the group in 1989 due to financial disputes and released his solo debut AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted in 1990, followed by Death Certificate (1991) and The Predator (1992). His work focuses on political and gangsta rap themes, addressing urban life and social issues. Ice Cube was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A. in 2016.
