Isaiah Rashad Joel McClain is a rapper and singer from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He first gained wider attention after appearing on the 2012 Smoker’s Club Tour and later became a founding member of the Chattanooga hip-hop collective TheHouse, which he formed with local rappers including YGTUT, Michael Da Vinci, Chris P, and Brian Brown. His music is generally described as laid-back and introspective Southern hip-hop, with influences from rap and soul. Rashad’s early releases, including the 2014 EP Cilvia Demo, built his profile, and his 2016 debut studio album The Sun’s Tirade reached the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. He later released The House Is Burning in 2021 as his major-label debut with Warner Bros. Records. He is known in live settings for a low-key, rap-focused performance style that emphasizes vocal delivery and crowd connection, rather than elaborate production.
