Jack Johnson - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

Jack Johnson is a singer-songwriter and guitarist born May 18, 1975, in North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii. He initially pursued professional surfing until a serious accident at Pipeline at age 17 led him to focus on music during recovery. Johnson gained initial recognition after contributing vocals and writing "Rodeo Clowns" for G. Love & Special Sauce's 1999 album Philadelphonic. His 2001 debut album Brushfire Fairytales, released on his own Brushfire Records label, achieved platinum certification after he toured as an opening act for Ben Harper. Johnson's musical style blends acoustic folk, alternative rock, pop, and reggae into a vocal-centric, mellow sound. His third album In Between Dreams (2005) became his breakthrough commercial success, peaking at number two on the Billboard 200. Subsequent releases including Sleep Through the Static (2008), To the Sea (2010), and All the Light Above It Too (2017) established him as a consistent chart presence, with the latter debuting at number five. Johnson holds a degree in film from UC Santa Barbara and has directed surf documentaries alongside his music career.
