Jackson Browne - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

Jackson Browne, born October 9, 1948, in Heidelberg, Germany, moved to Los Angeles as a child and emerged as a songwriter in the mid-1960s Laurel Canyon scene. He wrote songs for artists including Nico, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Eagles before releasing his self-titled debut album in 1972 on Asylum Records, featuring the Top 10 single 'Doctor My Eyes.' Subsequent albums like For Everyman (1973), Late for the Sky (1974), The Pretender (1976), and the live release Running on Empty (1978) established his reputation in the singer-songwriter style, blending introspective lyrics with rock elements. Hold Out (1980) became his only U.S. number-one album. Browne has released 15 studio albums and sold over 22 million records worldwide. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he co-founded Musicians United for Safe Energy in 1979 and has incorporated activism into his music. Live, he is known for solo acoustic performances revisiting his catalog, as on Solo Acoustic Vol. 1 (2005) and Vol. 2 (2008), alongside full-band tours capturing his emotive delivery.
