John Fogerty - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

John Fogerty formed the Blue Velvets in 1959 in El Cerrito, California, with bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford, later joined by his brother Tom Fogerty. The group became the Golliwogs in the mid-1960s and renamed Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) in 1967 after Fogerty's Army discharge. Fogerty served as lead singer, guitarist, primary songwriter, and leader, blending rock with blues, country, and swamp elements. CCR released seven studio albums from 1968 to 1972, including hits like 'Proud Mary,' 'Fortunate Son,' 'Green River,' and 'Bad Moon Rising,' selling over 30 million albums and singles in the U.S. After CCR disbanded in 1972 amid disputes, Fogerty launched a solo career, resuming performances of CCR songs in the 1980s. His 1985 album Centerfield marked a commercial return. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with CCR in 1993, he performed without former bandmates. Fogerty continues touring, delivering energetic sets of CCR classics and solo material, as seen in releases like 50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks (2019).
