Julia Wolf, born July 14, 1995, in Long Island, New York, to Italian parents, began playing classical piano at age seven and studied music composition at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, she emerged as a DIY singer-songwriter from Queens, releasing her debut EP Girls In Purgatory in 2021 and her first album Good Thing We Stayed in 2023. Her music blends indie-pop, alternative rock, trap-infused pop, and R&B elements, often featuring lyrics-first storytelling with a dark, gothic aesthetic. The single “In My Room” went viral on TikTok in 2025, amassing over 41 million Spotify streams, particularly among Twilight fans, and led to a collaboration with Drake on “Dog House.” Her sophomore album PRESSURE, released May 23, 2025, incorporates heavier rock influences with tracks like “Jennifer’s Body.” Wolf completed her first headlining world tour that summer and opened for Halsey. She is known for live performances that emphasize her versatile, genre-melding sound and emotive delivery.
