L.A. Guns is an American hard rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by guitarist Tracii Guns and drummer Rob Gardner. The original lineup included singer Mike Jagosz and bassist Ole Beich. In 1985, members merged with Hollywood Rose to briefly form Guns N' Roses before Guns reformed the band with Paul Black on vocals, Mick Crips on guitar, Robert Stoddard on bass, and Nickey Alexander on drums. The band achieved recognition with their 1988 self-titled debut album, featuring the single 'The Ballad of Jayne,' followed by 'Cocked & Loaded' (1989), which included hits 'Rip and Tear' and 'Never Enough.' Phil Lewis joined as lead vocalist in 1987, solidifying their glam metal sound rooted in the Sunset Strip scene. They have released over a dozen studio albums, with recent efforts like 'The Missing Peace' (2017) reuniting Guns and Lewis. L.A. Guns are known for high-energy live performances delivering their hard rock catalog, maintaining activity through multiple lineup changes, including the current configuration with Guns, Lewis, Ace Von Johnson, Johnny Martin, and drummers Adam Hamilton and Shawn Duncan.
