Ladytron is an English electronic band formed in 1999 in Liverpool by Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu, who were later joined by Helen Marnie and Mira Aroyo. The group draws from lo-fi electronic pop, shoegaze, and electroclash influences, using synthesizers and featuring dual vocals, with Marnie as lead singer and Aroyo contributing songs in English and Bulgarian. Reuben Wu departed in 2023, leaving the current trio of Marnie, Hunt, and Aroyo. Key albums include the debut 604 (2001), Light & Magic (2002), Witching Hour (2005) with the single 'Destroy Everything You Touch,' Velocifero (2008) featuring 'Ghosts' and 'Runaway,' and the self-titled Ladytron (2019). They released a live album, Live at London Astoria 16.07.08, in 2009 and contributed to Christina Aguilera's Bionic (2010). Ladytron performs live with synthesizers, delivering sets that highlight their electronic sound and stage presence through vocal and keyboard interplay.
