Leftöver Crack is an American punk rock band formed in 1998 in New York City's Lower East Side following the breakup of ska-punk band Choking Victim. Fronted by Scott 'Stza' Sturgeon, the band initially served as an outlet for his unrecorded songs, solidifying around members including bassist Alec Baillie and guitarist Ezra Kire. Their music blends punk, ska, crust, hip-hop, and metal elements with radical leftist lyrics opposing capitalism, authority, religion, and prejudice. The band released their debut album Mediocre Generica in 2001 on Hellcat Records and signed with Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles for their 2004 album No Gods, No Managers. Their third album, Constructs of the State, followed in 2015. They have faced bans from venues and conflicts with law enforcement, residing at the C-Squat collective. Leftöver Crack is known for chaotic live performances that reflect their squatter punk ethos, often drawing from a rotating lineup of NYC scene musicians.
