Level Up is the stage name of DJ and producer Sonya Broner, born in Los Angeles, California. She began her career as a battle DJ, training under turntablist Rob Swift after moving to Brooklyn, New York, where she honed skills in scratching and beat juggling while attending The New School. Transitioning from turntablism, she focused on electronic music, particularly dubstep, influenced by artists like Rusko and Skream, and later expanded into heavy bass and future bass with flips of dance and emo tracks. Broner has released music on labels including Deadbeats, GRVDNCR, Buygore, Monstercat, and her own Summoning Circle imprint. Notable achievements include her 2021 Summoning Tour and 2025 Sapphire Souls headline tour, plus performances at festivals such as Lost Lands, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, Bass Canyon, and Ultra Music Festival. Live, she is recognized for immersive sets featuring heavy wubs, wobbles, and crowd-engaging production.
