Lip Critic is a New York-based band that formed in 2018 at SUNY Purchase and is centered on Bret Kaser, Connor Kleitz, Daniel Eberle, and Ilan Natter. The group uses an unconventional setup built around two drummers, samplers, and vocals, with no guitars in the core lineup. Their music has been described as blending post-punk, electropunk, digital hardcore, hardcore punk, and club-influenced electronic elements. They released early projects including Kill Lip Critic, Lip Critic II, and Lip Critic: Truth Revealed, and later issued their debut album Hex Dealer on Partisan Records in 2024. Their live performances are known for dense, high-intensity arrangements built from drums, samples, and vocals.
