Midnight Generation is a disco electronic pop band from Chihuahua, Mexico, founded in 2014 and led by Fernando Mares. The group, featuring members Fernando Mares, Luis Carlos “Bica” Valderrama, Carlos Amaya, Samuel Márquez, and Diego Bustillos, began with funk influences in 2015, evolving from local basements to festival stages across North and South America. They have supported acts including Chromeo, Sticky Fingers, Polo & Pan, and Camilo Séptimo. Their discography includes two earlier LPs with tracks such as “Young Girl,” “Calling You,” and “Together,” followed by the 2023 album Afterlife and the later release Tender Love. The band's sound blends disco, electronic pop, funk, and elements of 1970s and 1980s influences like Bee Gees and Prince.
