Osees is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1997 by John Dwyer as a solo experimental project under the name Orinoka Crash Suite. The project evolved from lo-fi freak folk recordings into a full garage rock band around 2007, featuring Dwyer on guitar and vocals alongside Brigid Dawson on keyboards and vocals, Petey Dammit on bass, and Mike Shoun on drums. The band has undergone numerous name changes, including OCS, The Ohsees, Thee Oh Sees, and Oh Sees, while maintaining prolific output with over 20 studio albums. Notable releases include The Master's Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In (2008), Carrion Crawler/The Dream (2011), and Floating Coffin (2013). Osees is recognized for energetic live performances featuring dual drummers and a distinctive visual aesthetic combining cartoon and horror imagery. Dwyer also founded Castle Face Records, the independent label that has released much of the band's catalog.
