Peaches was an Australian all-female pop rock band formed in 1977 by Margaret Britt (vocals, guitar), previously of The Vamps. Other members included Huck (vocals, drums), Sue Kirby (bass) and The Nun (vocals, keyboards). Produced by Gene Pierson for Laser Records, they performed pop rock with blues influences. Their highest-charting single, a cover of 'Substitute,' reached number 15 on the Australian Kent Music Report in 1978. Further singles 'Long Long Week-End' and 'You've Got All of Me' followed in 1978 and 1979 but did not chart. The band appeared on the TV show Countdown and toured Australia. Peaches disbanded in 1980 in Perth when Britt's health declined due to Agent Orange exposure from a 1968 Vietnam tour and a road accident.
