Polyphia is an American instrumental rock band formed in 2010 in Plano, Texas, by guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, later joined by bassist Clay Gober and drummer Clay Aeschliman. Their early work was rooted in metalcore and heavy metal, but their later music moved toward progressive rock and math rock, often incorporating elements of hip-hop, electronic music, and pop. The band is known for technical guitar interplay, polished production, and song structures that emphasize rhythm and melody rather than vocals. Their releases include debut album Muse (2014), Renaissance (2016), New Levels New Devils (2018), and Remember That You Will Die (2022), which featured guest appearances and continued their genre-blending approach.
