Prince Daddy & the Hyena is an American punk rock band formed in 2014 in Albany, New York, by Kory Gregory, Alex Ziembiec, and Zahra Houacine after attending a Rozwell Kid show. Influenced by emo and punk, the band blends high-energy performances with lyrics addressing mental health, impermanence, and daily life. They released their debut EP Skip Cutscenes! Blow Loud! in 2014, followed by Adult Summers (2015), full-length albums I Thought You Didn't Even Like Leaving (2016), Cosmic Thrill Seekers (2019), and their self-titled third LP (2022) on Pure Noise Records. Lineup changes included guitarist Cameron Handford joining early on and drummer Daniel Gorham replacing Ziembiec in 2017; original drummer Ziembiec died in 2022. The band progressed from basement shows to larger venues, touring with acts like Drug Church and Oso Oso. They are known for energetic live sets that maintain an intimate, chaotic vibe, with fans singing along to lyrics.
