Robby Krieger - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

Robby Krieger, born January 8, 1946, in Los Angeles, is a guitarist and founding member of The Doors, formed in 1965. He began playing guitar at age 17, starting with a flamenco guitar before incorporating blues, folk, and rock influences after seeing artists like Chuck Berry. Krieger co-wrote key Doors songs including 'Light My Fire,' 'Love Me Two Times,' and 'Touch Me,' blending blues-rock with jazz elements on his Gibson guitars. The Doors achieved success with albums like their 1967 self-titled debut and subsequent releases featuring Krieger's distinctive fingerstyle and slide guitar work. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the band, he has pursued solo projects since the 1970s, including jazz-fusion albums such as the Grammy-nominated Singularity and 2024's Robby Krieger And The Soul Savages, which explore soul-jazz and blues roots. Krieger is recognized for his live performances emphasizing improvisational guitar interplay, drawing from flamenco, jazz, and blues traditions developed during The Doors' Whisky a Go Go residencies.
