Slaughter to Prevail is a Russian deathcore band formed in 2014 in Yekaterinburg by vocalist Alex Terrible (Aleksandr Shikolai) and guitarist Jack Simmons. Originally drawing from members of bands like We Are Obscurity and Acrania, the group has experienced multiple lineup changes, with Terrible and Simmons as the core members. Now based in Orlando, Florida, the current lineup includes Dmitry Mamedov on rhythm guitar, Mike Petrov on bass, and Evgeny Novikov on drums. The band debuted with the EP Chapters of Misery in 2015, followed by their first full-length album Misery Sermon in 2017 and Kostolom in 2021. Their third studio album, Grizzly, was released in 2025. Signed to Sumerian Records since 2016, they have toured extensively across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, including the Summer Slaughter tour with acts like Cannibal Corpse. Slaughter to Prevail is known for their brutal deathcore sound, characterized by Alex Terrible's low growls and slamming riffs, delivered with high energy in live performances.
