The Stagecoach Country Music Festival was established in 2007 as a sister event to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held annually at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Organizers promoted the inaugural edition through fliers in feed stores and farm equipment outlets, drawing about 27,500 attendees per day over two days with headliners such as George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn. It expanded to three days in 2008, featuring acts like the Eagles, and by 2012 had sold out in advance, growing to attract around 75,000 people daily. Focused primarily on country music, the festival incorporates bluegrass, folk, Americana, and occasional rock performers across main stages and smaller tents like the Palomino and Mustang. It has hosted artists including Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Kacey Musgraves, and Chris Stapleton. Known for its Western-themed activities such as line dancing and mechanical bull riding, Stagecoach maintains a mellow crowd atmosphere with a mix of superstars and emerging talent.
