The Dickies - Upcoming SoCal Concerts

The Dickies are an American punk rock band formed in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, in 1977. Founding members Leonard Graves Phillips (vocals) and Stan Lee (guitar) remain the core of the lineup, which has seen numerous changes over the years. They were the first Los Angeles punk band to sign with a major label, A&M Records, in 1978, and debuted with a cover of Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid.' Their style blends fast punk tempos with catchy pop melodies, harmony vocals, and humorous, satirical lyrics, often described as pop-punk or bubblegum punk. Notable releases include covers of 'Nights in White Satin' (1979), the 'Gigantor' theme (1980), the mini-LP Stukas Over Disneyland (1983), and their last full-length All This and Puppet Stew (2001) on Fat Wreck Chords. The band has maintained continuous activity without breakups, touring regularly, particularly in Southern California, and drawing crowds with their energetic performances.
