Vocalist Brian Butcher joined in 2015, and bassist Ryne Olson later completed the lineup. The group describes its sound as "heavy pop," blending pop-punk and rock with R&B, funk, and other influences. The band has released records including Slow Bloom and The Crucible of Life, and they have built attention around a high-energy live show. Interviews and artist profiles describe them as combining melodic pop hooks with heavier instrumentation and genre shifts, which is also a defining part of their stage performances.
