The Last Dinner Party is a British alternative rock band formed in London in 2021. Vocalist Abigail Morris, bassist Georgia Davies, and guitarist Lizzie Mayland met as students at King's College London and bonded over gigs in South London, later recruiting guitarist Emily Roberts and keyboardist Aurora Nishevci through mutual connections. Originally named The Dinner Party, they added 'Last' in 2023 to distinguish from another act. The band signed with Island Records in 2022 after a video of an early gig gained attention. They released their debut single 'Nothing Matters' in April 2023, followed by their album Prelude to Ecstasy in February 2024, which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and earned a Mercury Prize nomination. They won the BRITs Rising Star award in 2024. Their music features a baroque-pop sound, and their live shows are known for a distinctive visual and performative style.
